Use your Google Account to Sign in to other sites

You can use your Google Account to sign in to a third-party sites and apps, which means you won't have to remember individual usernames and passwords for each account. It makes it easier to use the web.

Using Google to sign in to a third-party app or site

If a site or service you use offers Google Account sign-in as an option, you'll see it on the sign-in page of that site.

If you decide to use this feature, you'll be directed to the Sign-in Request page. You should grant permission only if you trust the service.

What information does Google share with these websites?

Google sends a random code to third-party sites to enable you to sign in to these sites with your Google Account. This code doesn't reveal any personal information. Also, the security of your Google Account will not be compromised by signing in to other sites with your account.

What other information does Google share?

When you sign in to a third-party app or site using your Google Account, the service may ask Google for the email address associated with your account, so that it can contact you. The service could also ask for access to any of the applications you use.

Remove a site from Connected apps & sites

If you've asked a third-party site to always use Google to authenticate you, you can revoke access at any time. Just follow these steps:

1. Sign in to My Account. If you use an account through your work, school, or other group, sign in and visit the Manage Account page, and replace "example.com" with your domain name.

2. In the "Sign-in & security" section, select Connected apps & sites.

3. Choose Manage apps.

4. Choose the site or app you no longer want included and choose Remove.

Note: Google is not affiliated with third-party services that ask for authentication. Google simply provides sign-in technology to these sites.

Common issue: Trouble signing in to Facebook

Facebook does not use Google Account sign-in, therefore changing your Google Account password will not change the password for your Facebook account.
