How does logging in to a Chromebook work?
Students and teachers can log into Chromebooks through Clever. There are two ways: Clever Badges (PK-5th Grades), or Google email addresses (6th-12th Grades).
How do students use Badges with Chromebooks (PK-5th Grades)?
1. Students open their Chromebooks,
2. Click the blue Next button.
3. Click the blue/white Clever Badges button, and the camera activates.
4. Students hold up the Badge to the camera.
5. Students are automatically logged in to the Chromebook and brought to their Clever Portal.
6. In the Portal, students can click to enter any application or open a new browser tab to navigate the internet.
How do students use Google emails with Chromebooks (6th -12th Grades)?
1. Students open Chromebooks
2. Click the blue Next button.
3. Click the Google Apps button.
4. Type their Google email address and password.
5. Please note: using Google email addresses for Clever requires some initial setup by the district administrator on the Clever account.
6. After logging in, the Clever Portal is automatically displayed, and students do not need to log in again.
7. Students can click to enter any application.
