Using Teacher Tools in the Clever Portal

For badges see: " How do I manage Clever Badges as a teacher?" Teachers have the ability to launch applications for students, log students out, and help students log in, right from their portal! Launching an Application for a class. When teachers are logged into the Clever portal, they can launch applications for their entire class. Navigate to the "Classes” tab on the top right of the portal. Select the section/course/period. Select “Launch Application” and the applications available to your students will appear in a menu. Once an application is selected, a green box will appear on the right side noting that the application was successfully launched!. Please note: if a student does not have access to the application, an error message will appear. For troubleshooting tips see: " Why is my portal missing an app?" Logging students out of Clever. Teachers have the ability to log students out of Clever from the dashboard. Method One: Navigate to the "Classes" tab on the top right. Select the section/course/period. Select “Log Class Out”. Students will now be logged out of the Clever Portal. Method Two: Navigate to the "Classes" tab on the top right. Click on the desired section for a detailed view. Select “Log Class Out”. Clever Tip: If students are using Google Chrome with the Chrome Extension installed, students will also be logged out of their applications. Check if students have logged in. The Classes tab shows which students have successfully logged into the Clever Portal. Here's how you can view this: Navigate to the "Classes” tab on the top right. Select and click the section/course/period for a detailed view. Scroll down to “Students rostered to this class”, a red icon with "Not logged in" or a green icon with "Logged in" will appear next to student names:. Clever Tip: Clicking on a student's name provides some student information and additional ways to help get students logged in if they are having trouble.
